Ya know, I just beat the game, and i unlocked all of these special Princess Orders. One of them is to be able to change your character to any other model in the game. You can literally play as Lest (Or anyone else), voice and everything, and still woo the lovely boys!
The confusing thing about Rune Factory 4, they give the choice to confess your love to the same gender, it's just they don't take you seriously if you're the same gender. Really, it wouldn't have been hard to just program it so they could court and marry since the love confession was already there. As for the kid, that would just require extra dialogue to say... expect a future adoption or something. Again, I don't think that would have been a big deal seeing as the game already has one of the largest variety of dialogue I've ever seen.
Yeah, as someone already pointed out, later on in the game you do get the option to change your appearance to other characters, including the other player character, but that's not quite the same imho. Kind of disappointing really - I mean, I love the game as is (even though I never finished the last story arc), but I personally would be a lot more impressed with it if your character could marry absolutely any other NPC you wanted to.
Play Fire Emblem and you at least get some cute dialog between the boys since you can gain relationship points between any character, but can never attain marriage as a boy-- i guess same problem. nevermind.
awwh, yeah I played Fire Emblem, it was fun that you could at least take it to a certain point (and the guys were cuter in that game anyhow, lol)...just seems like such a silly holdover for something that's only gonna make a broader audience for the game happy? I guess one day I'll just have to make a game of my own that's inclusive X)
I guess there are some good american made RPG's out there that have the gay relations and stuff. But I like the RPG dating sim combo. It was fun at least. But yes! Have the big dreams and make the game!
true. i was pleased when i heard that some games like Guild Wars (though it's a morpg) is starting to normalize non-hetero couples, by having some same-sex pairs in the plot line and missions. a step in the right direction in the gaming world!
back to your amazing art though: I love the cat so much. Didn't notice the first time, but it's adorable.
Haha, its okay. I'm just one of those people who can replay a game multiple times, or play a game for hours on end. Its probably what helps me with being a fan of RPGs, or Harvest Moon games in general. A lot of grinding/routine shit that a lot of other people can find boring, or get tired of quickly. =d
